From Humble Beginnings to Entrepreneurial Success

In the serene town of Rungdhu, Bermiok, nestled in the Gyalshing district of Sikkim, Khusendra Sharma's life story unfolds as a testament to resilience, determination, and community impact.

Early Years and Education

Born on October 10, 1979, to the late Tulshi Ram Sharma, a revered priest, Khusendra was the youngest among seven siblings, raised by two mothers. His educational journey started in the Govt Junior High School Rungdu, followed by Lower Bermiok Government High School and Kaluk Sr Secondary School. However, tragedy struck during his 9th-10th grade when his father passed away, leading him to Shribadam School under the guidance of TP Adhikari

Entrepreneurial Journey

From Farming to Public Service to Dairy Expansion

Facing financial constraints and struggling to adapt to city life, Khusendra returned to his roots, engaging in farming and various small businesses. His ventures included cattle farming and trading in oranges, ginger, and cardamom. Despite challenges, he took on the role of a supervisor of roads under PWD, earning a modest salary of 1200 rs.

A turning point came with his entry into the Home Guard in 1998, working in traffic in Gangtok. However, family issues prompted him to leave the job. Subsequently, he took on projects, beginning with a school boundary and later a substantial project for a CC footpath.

Driven by a desire to venture into dairy product manufacturing, Khusendra established a dairy in Legship in November 2005. Overcoming business fluctuations, he expanded operations to Jorethang in 2006, introducing a sweets shop and butter momo business. Though these ventures faced challenges, his entrepreneurial spirit persisted.

As his business evolved, Khusendra engaged in trading, even exchanging vehicles to sell dairy products and sweets across different locations. With support from Tulshi Pradhan, he acquired a marshal vehicle, facilitating his work with ACPL company. In 2006, he conducted a divine Puran Puja, marking a significant spiritual milestone.
